Original Artwork. Beach Bins (Redcar Beach). Hand-cut Vinyl.

An original artwork from my series of British seaside-themed artworks, featuring the often ignored views found in every coastal town. This was the first piece in the collection of artworks focusing on British seaside towns, inspired by the view from a fellow artists studio. I have longed to capture my own take on the charming bleakness of many British seaside towns (this being Cleveland). However, once bathed in sunshine, these places come alive with unexpected bursts of colour, and the use of vinyl accentuates this like no other medium can.

Each and every coloured piece of vinyl has been hand-cut and meticulously applied in place, similar to that of a collage, to create the overall final image. It is then treated to a clear-coat for a deep sheen and protection.
