The second in a mini series that harks back to 10 years ago, whereupon I first created my Speed Icons collection using just coloured vinyl shapes to create the images, without actually ‘drawing’ the car being depicted. 

The series is a study on iconic racing liveries that were based on white cars. This edition features the Le Mans-winning 1988 TWR Jaguar XJR-9. Not only does piece look back at my first hand-cut vinyl artworks, it also pays homage to my art GCSE project that actually helped get me the job at Silverstone Circuit where I learnt to use vinyl in this way.
